Nodame Cantabile Movie Live Action

The "Nodame Cantabile" movie is going to come out in December 2009 and there has been a flood of new details concerning the locations, cast and other stuff.

One of the biggest new locations in the movie is going to be the "capital of music", Vienna. Actor Tamaki Hiroshi (29) about the location, "I can feel the weight of all the history this city holds and I’m becomming really tense." Actress Ueno Juri (23) too, "There’s no better place to concentrate than here." Celebrated musicians like Mozart, Beethoven or Brahms have been active in Vienna and you can find statues of them in the local park.

Tokyo Dogs Featuring Oguri Shun and Mizushima Hiro

Kyaaa~~ Oguri Shun and Mizushima Hiro are pairing together! I previously saw them together in Hanazakari no Kimitachi e. That solemn Izumi Sano with pervert Nanba Minami now rejoin as a police partner with 180 degree difference in character. They are more mature in this dorama. Just check it out below!

What is Dorama?

Japanese dramas (テレビドラマ :) terebi dorama, television drama), also called dorama (ドラマ?), are a staple of Japanese television and are broadcast daily. All major TV networks in Japan produce a variety of drama series including murder, romance, comedy, detective stories, horror, and many others. For special occasions, there may also be a one- or two-episode drama with a specific theme, such as a drama produced in 2007 for the 60-year anniversary of the end of World War II.

Ouran High School Host Club Quiz

I found it fun to enroll this kind of quiz or game, I guess once in a while. I became Ouran High School Host Club's fan just after read the first tankoubon and lately became addicted to it. Nanae Chrono's Peacemaker Kurogane Gets Live Action

The Oricon marketing survey firm reports that a drama series adaptation of Nanae Chrono's Peace Maker Kurogane supernatural samurai manga has been green-lit for a January 2010 premiere on the TBS/MBS television network in Japan. The story centers around a short 15-year-old boy named Tetsunosuke Ichimura who attempts to join the legendary samurai of Shinsengumi as part of his plan to avenge his murdered parents. However, he learns that he must become a demon to join this group.

Fansubbing Jobs

What is fansub? According to wikipedia, fansub (short for fan-subtitled) is a version of a foreign film or foreign television program which has been translated by fans and subtitled into a language other than that of the original. Because distribution of fan-subtitled content is a violation of copyright laws in most countries, the ethical implications of producing, distributing, or watching fansubs are topics of much controversy. Have you ever wondered who are behind the subbed shows you are watching? And what kind of jobs they are doing to make a quality show and every fans happy and contented? Now is your chance to learn more about them. Every job has it's own work and criteria. So if you want to join any fansub groups, you better know them (job descriptions are made by zeldAIS): Timer - the art of timing the subs when the characters are saying or when (a) word(s) are displayed on screen. It is one of the most important backbone of fansubbing together with translations (you can't do other fields of fansubbing without this and translations at all). There are basically 2 kinds of Timers - pre-translation timer and post-translation timer. Pre-translation timers times the subs and leave blanks in them for the translator to fill in after (s)he finishes a video. The timer is not required to know the language being subbed. Post-translation timers times the subs after the translator have written the translated script. The timer, however, needs to know basic nihongo to be able to time the script correctly. With that said, we will be using Pre-Translation timing more. Translator - one of the most important backbone of fansubbing together with timing. He/She translates all necessary things to be subbed in the video. It is also important that the translator must be fluent enough in both languages he/she is translating. Note: Translators are GODS. (merciful Gods if i might add) Translation Checker - checks if the translations done by the translator is correct. Every good product will be made better if it has 2nd opinion Spot Translator - a translator wherein there are spots where the main translator can't figure out how to translate it (This spot was prolly coined in the Drama fansubbing Community) Editor - a position where it doesn't require fluency in the original language nor watching the raw video being subbed. Edits the subs and checks thoroughly punctuations, flow of words and especially grammar. Typesetter - the artistic position of fansubbing. Choosing the exact fonts appropriate for the show and making them pretty to be released. The typesetter, however, must consider the main goal of the subs - the viewers understand the subs. So if the font used are too overkill and hard to read, it's better off you just watch softsubs Tongue The typesetter must remember that he is like making a best supporting character in typesetting the subs. A typesetter must be creative - as nobody can teach anyone to be creative. Also, in most of the shows we will be doing, knowing \t overrides - or effects in the subs themselves - is a big big plus. Karaoke - combination of both timing and typesetting skills. A Karaoke can be either good or ugly. An overkill karaoke that has complicated effects but can't be read is a bad thing. It is also bad if the syllable timings are off. One must be very creative in using \t to make wow, but legible, effects. Encoder - Hardsubs the softsubs done by the previous staff. Must know technical aspects of good encoding - considering both the balance of audio and video with file size limitation. Quality Control - most of the subs here are almost the final product but everything from timing, simple translation, typesetting among others will be thoroughly checked by the QC'r. He/She must make sure that there are no more errors in the subs that will be released and will serve as the last line of defense. Splash Maker - Makes the cool images that are inserted in the beginning of the releases. If you're good at Photoshop/GIMP/etc. and you like to make graphics, this is for you. Sometimes you'll be provided with images you can use so you won't have to hunt for them. The most important thing: Raw Provider - For every fansubbed anime episode that has been released by a group, the episode must come from some electronic source, whether it is from a television broadcast that has been captured onto a hard drive or a DVD source that has either been purchased or ripped into an ISO file format. Ouran High School Host Club (Manga)

Haruhi Fujioka is a scholarship student at exclusive Ouran High School, where it turns out that the bespectacled, short-haired Haruhi is the only student from a lower-middle class family in attendance. Then, to make matters worse, one day she breaks an $80,000 vase that belongs to one of the campus clubs: a mysterious outfit called the "Host Club," consisting of six super-rich (and gorgeous) guys. Mistaking Haruhi for a boy at first, they force her to work for the club to pay the damages, but when she proves to be a hit with the female students who come to be charmed and entertained, the guys decide it's more fun keeping up the charade... All the members are in class A and tend to be number one or two in their class, coming from the wealthiest families in Japan with the exception of Haruhi. The twins are ranked fourth and fifth in their class and Haruhi is a scholarship student receiving the special privilege of being in class A due to her scholarship status (she is ranked number one in her year). Customers have the freedom to choose which host will entertain them, playing to their specific needs and interests. Each member of the host club is a specific shōjo "type" designed to suit the varying tastes of female clients (Cool Type, Wild Type/Strong and Silent Type, Loli-shōta Type, Prince Type, Little Devil Type, Natural Type). The twins, Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachiin, and cousins, Takashi Morinozuka ("Mori") and Mitsukuni Haninozuka ("Honey"), showcase their respective close relationships to please or entertain customers. Haruhi Fujioka, who used to be the Host Club's dog in order to pay her debt of 8,000,000 yen, entertains her guests with her naturalness and humbleness. Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge Live Action

Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge is also known as Perfect Girl Evolution. This manga originally created by Tomoko Hayakawa, who is very fond of cat and Kiyoharu. This manga then was also made into anime and live-action/ dorama. Bishonen spoiler! Takano Kyohei (Kamenashi Kazuya) is a handsome but bad-tempered university student who is always ready for a fight; Toyama Yukinojo (Tegoshi Yuya) possesses a cuteness that can be mistaken for a girl; the cool-headed Oda Takenaga (Uchi Hiroki) excels in academics and sports; and the princely Mori Ranmaru (Miyao Shuntaro) loves females, accept a proposal from the female owner of the house where they are lodging at for “free lodging if they are able to transform her niece into a proper lady”. Hotaru no Hikari 2

Umemiya Hotaru is back with her buchou (boss). The second live-action television series based on Satoru Hiura's Hotaru no Hikari women's romance manga will premiere in July. Haruka Ayase (Oblivion Island: Haruka and the Magic Mirror's Haruka, Crying Out Love in the Center of the World's Aya) will reprise her role as Hotaru, a 27-year-old office lady who would rather sit around lazily at home than pursue romance. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Hotaru ends up living in the same house as her clean-freak boss, and she soon begins to develop a relationship with one of her younger coworkers. Naohito Fujiki (20th Century Boys' Chōno, GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka's Ryuji Saejima) will also return to the series as Seiichi Takano, Hotaru's boss. The theme of the second series will be the happiness of the transformed heroine as Hotaru considers marriage. The manga ran in Kodansha's Kiss magazine from 2004 to 2009, and 15 book volumes of the manga have been published. The Southern California station United Television Broadcasting (UTB) aired the first 2007 television series last year. The reception for this dorama didn't as high as the first installment.
