Kitsuke October 2014: Accompanying Dad to Wedding Reception

During October 2013, we had Idul Adha. It was also named Idul Qurban. Daddy became one of the committee. Hubby also came home, this time to Semarang. LOT OF MEAT! Mommy made lot of sate kambing and gule. I wouldn't surprise if I gain some weight :hammer:.

I also went home and bring one of my kimono ensemble. I love my polkadot kimono so much ^w^ and I paired it with my latest kimono shopping, black synthetic nagoya obi. Previously, I already had two synthetic hanhaba obi. They are slippery and somewhat thicker than my usual silk obi. I was ready with the texture and nature of my new nagoya obi:D. I also complemented the ensemble with my - also newest - kimono spree, the orange obiage and obijime.

At first I wanted to wear the ensemble to my date with hubby ^w^, preferably to lunch, dinner or nice strolling. But then daddy appproached me and asked if we could accompany him to the wedding reception his friend had. Mommy wasn't able to attend since she had lecture job that day.

I don't have nice dress to go to the wedding reception, so maybe I would put that chance to wear kimono. I knew that the TPO wasn't correct - hey, it was komon @_@ - but maybe they didn't mind - hey, I didn't mind. My hubby wore his brand new gakuran (=^w^=)/. He looked good! Daddy patiently waited for me - even though I already started some hours before, but still....kitsuke time still took long minute - even though hubby helped me doing the taiko (yare-yare....).

And we were ready to go to the venue - thanks, Dad, for your patience. Hubby drove the car. We didn't get late, but the queue was really long :D. As usual, I got a lot of staring and weird semi-fascinated look from the guest hahaha. Thank you anyway.

I met coincidentally with one of my JHS (Junior High School) friend, Ayu. She approached me first, gosh - I didn't know that she would attend the reception with her mother :D. I couldn't talk a lot with her since we (daddy, hubby and I) were still in queue, and Ayu wasn't. We needed to greet the married couple and their respective parents first. Ayu promised that she would play along to the house together with Dinda though. And I thanked her for praising me and the kimono ^w^.

Selfies. Definitely need some fancy headdress or hair accessories.

Really need to work on my back shot.

PS:
Hubby bought me a new keitai with front VGA camera, so maybe I can abuse it for selfie :P. Arigatou, Hubby XOXO.

Sorry, no picture at the venue, since we were busy to line up in the food stalls. The foods were okay and my tummy got ponpon :P.
