Obi is actually the main attraction when wearing kimono. A kimono can look vibrant or boring depending on the obi worn. A plain kimono can look different depending on the obi worn, even the slightest change in obi colour and motif can make the kimono into different mood. Obi usually complements with obiage, obijime and obidome, not to mention we need obimakura and obiita to make certain ideal shape when we wear kimono.
