Goofing Around at Sannin Party 7 Unisri, Solo (Part 1 of 2)

How did it start? Nggg....I guess Sabi-oneesan got some information about a matsuri event in Solo. We wish to have a booth there. I have plenty of yukata to be rented and Sabi-oneesan has some. After we got the deal about the booth, we found an aid for transportation and accommodation. The day before the D-day, Sabi-oneesan slept by my place so we didn't need longer preparation time. Apart from her yukata for rental, she also brought her ready stock and made-by-order or custom kanzashi. She showed me how to make a kanzashi. It was a test for my patience and my endurance since kanzashi is actually an elaborate and delicate handcraft :D. Anyway, the day before the D-day, we also surveyed the place, and we were lost to the point we reached Sangiran (what the....?!?).

But we managed to find the matsuri place and way back home to Yogya, we had some glass of warm milk and roti bakar in the random food stall in Solo. Things are so much better when our tummy is full ;).

After we set the sail the next morning, we packed all of our stuff into four big bags. Now I understand the significance of a seller. Sabi-oneesan has various display for her selling items ^w^. An hour land trip and we arrived at the venue. We unpacked our things and started tend our booth. This was my first time going to a matsuri as a tenant and not as a visitor. I have plenty of yukata and I was willing to lend them to the visitor there. I have seven yukata plus the obi ^w^. Lot of them....

Oh yeah, have I told you that I wore kimono started right from my crib? Yep-yep. I wore my gray faux denim kimono paired with my pink stripe cotton fukuro obi. The kimono and obi are home-made. I also coupled the coordination with black-striped blue scarf as obiage, jet black obijime, polkadot white haneri, lavender cabochon in my collar, white tabi, and my only zouri. I still haven't get any juban yet :P. But anyway, this ensemble really cozy and comfortable. I never knew that matsuri atmosphere could be that hot, hectic and busy ^o^;;. I also 'usurped' one of Sabi-oneesan's kanzashi! I chose the rainbow one since it would get many attention :P.

As for Sabi-oneesan, she wore her kimono and obi after we set our booth. That's why she still had plenty of time and I could dress her ^w^.

After our booth was ready, we were REALLY hungry! No wonder! We haven't grabbed anything since we woke up in early morning. But thanks to Adi, he bought us some breakfast. I only managed to took a piece of small bread. The first customer was ready to rent our yukata hehehe....

Sabi-oneesan and I dressing the visitor ^w^.
This was how the booth looked like from the front. The picture was taken after the long day.

Not sure about this pose, but it was taken before the typhoon rain hit.
Release the kraken!

Notice my sloppy kitsuke, crazy haneri and collar, unintentionally boobs attack, dangling obiage, TIRED face, and washed out make-up!!!! Yup-yup....just snapped this picture AFTER the whole event in the day. I wore kimono for 12 hours straight consecutively. BUT....I do LOVE the event and will surely fill in for such event. Next time, I shall take kitsuke picture after I'm done with the kitsuke. Seriously! Backache was the aftermath I guess LOL.

Tired but astoundingly happy ^w^!

This is the only back shot I had. Yes-yes, I knew, the pose was derp indeed.
Notice my sloppy kitsuke, crazy otaiko, slipped out obiage and awkward pose!!!! Look at the fabulous RAINBOW kanzashi I wore on my head! My partner-in-crime Sabi Sabishigaru has this beautiful stuffs~~~ Check out her store nao!
